GOSPEL CHOIR WORKSHOP
The goals of the American Gospel Choir Workshop are to create an atmosphere of a genuine Gospel Choir reproducing the energy, joy and excitement that are strong characteristics of this genre of music and to bring the people together from all over the community to sing the Hope of the Gospel and promote fellowship and unity.
In the workshop we will learn songs from famous groups and Gospel artist such as The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Hezekiah Walker, Richard Smallwood, Rick Dillard, Prestonwood Baptist Choir, Kirk Franklin, Donald Lawrence, Chicago Mass Choir and others.
And no matter what country is hosting the workshop we will be singing in English, so the attendees can feel like participating in a genuine American Gospel Choir.
We will also learn the basics of how to put together a choir in your ministry or in your community and also talk about the characteristics of the Gospel choirs and style variations. We will learn basic conducting techniques, basic gospel rhythm patterns and ministering skills to conduct a full band and choir and how to sound like a Gospel Choir.
The workshop can have many different formats and, upon request, the CFMC singers can participate in it for a full Gospel experience.
